This year’s dive festival will once again have a PADI DSD (discover scuba diving) program to run alongside the regular festival dives. With the help of local PADI Instructors and dive schools we aim to get 100 DSDs done over the 2 days of the festival and thereby introduce 100 new scuba divers to Cape Town diving. The cost of a festival DSD is only R200 (it’s normally around R1 000) or R100 for scholars or it’s free to FBYC members. All the equipment you need is included.
The yacht club has a fantastic spot for us to run DSDs right next to the main festival area with very easy entry into the water, great fish life and all sorts of reef critters to find and observe.
We will start running DSD groups at 9am on the Saturday and Sunday of the festival with small groups and their instructor getting kitted-up and heading out every few minutes.
To book a DSD spot please contact our DSD co-ordinators Sarah and Steve at Dive Action firstname.lastname@example.org or phone (021) 511 0800 or phone or WhatsApp 082 881 1660.
